VIP Tour of the Historic Sterick Building!
8 N. BB King Blvd
Tuesday, October 17th from 3:00pm-4:00pm*
*The elevators are not working, so anyone who desires to go to the upper floors, will have to do so on foot. Everyone will need a flashlight or cell phone camera for the tour. A waiver will be emailed to everyone who registers and it must be brought to the tour.
The Sterick name is derived from the combined name of the two owners R.E. Sterling and Wyatt Hedrick (therefore Sterick) and that it was the tallest building in Memphis (and the entire south) when it opened in 1930. Because of the Depression and WW2, it was the last skyscraper built in Downtown in the building boom of the 1920s until the First Horizon Bank building at Madison/BB King Blvd. opened in 1964 - 34 years!
